PTI Paint by Number Challenge

This was a real challenge!

My colors were Kraft, Enchanted Evening, Spring Rain, Aqua Mist and white. I am not sure I got them right because I have a sampler pack of paper but it has been opened and the patterned paper I believe is Aqua Mist...I am hoping.

Just getting this in tonight, must get some sleep I am teaching 2nd grade tomorrow!

Thanks for looking,

PTI Embossed Resist Challenge

This is a record for me and the old blog...I am loving it. I even took the time to put in a custom header and picture and fancy up the title...it was fun, maybe I am on a roll!

Anyway I tried the embossing technique on Nicole's new video and it was the first time I have tried this so I was pleased with the results.

It still seems to be missing something but I didn't have much time to play. The little charm heart is a little shrinky dink that I made with the girls for Valentines's Day last year and they made necklaces with the PTI Heart Print stamps. It was lots of fun and I made a few extra.

Anyway, thanks for looking and I am just loving all the festivities with Papertrey's anniversary...they rock!

Last PTI challenge for today.

I really love these colors, I don't use them much but this blue and orange just seem to say Birthday fun! Thought I would do a card but I guess I just wasn't in the mood for cards today!

Tried to work on the photos a bit and jazz things up. I used my Ott light that I have for sewing, not bad for how late it is.

Happy 3rd birthday Nicole and PTI, you certainly know how to make our wishes come true!

Thanks for stopping by.

PTI Anniversary Continued!

Here we go 2nd try this time with Becky's image. I just love this little scene, did it remind anyone else of Up! and Ellie's house going on an adventure. I thought at first of "Home Sweet Home" but for some reason I started to see this in a nursery welcoming a new little one home...a different kind of "birth" day!

I am having so much fun on our snow day, with school cancelled and I didn't have to sub...although I could use the money...especially with such a big release coming up!

Anyway, thanks for looking and I am off to play some more!

Happy Birthday PTI !!!!

I managed to get a project finished to add to Mr. Linky for PTI's birthday celebration! The first one is a small party favor pail using Pine's "rustic whimsy" cupcake. It just jumped out at me to be paired up with the paper I just got at Archivers! The biggest problem I always have is the photography...some day I will have a real camera!

Thanks for looking!

September Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

I planned ahead this month and was actually able to join the blog hop with time to spare, I am so happy to accomplish that this month! My daughter has joined me again and she would like to call her "blog" Cute Creations!

Snowman Soup

My project isn't very original because every year we give our neighbors Snowman Soup and the only thing that changes is the packaging. The clear boxes that PTI stamps come in are perfect for this little gift and I have fun making them and picking out the papers.

I love this set with the mug and you choice of warm beverage to sip and share. This would be the front of the gift and then the back has the Snowman Soup poem.

This is just a great gift to have on hand in the house for when some one drops something off at your house or my daughter has friends over. We have also given this to classmates at holiday time, there is some part of it to love, the mini marshmellows in the glassine bag, the little candy canes or the hot cocoa all together. When we want to make this a bit more special we add homemade cookies or pumpkin bread to go with your drink. Sometimes we add silver "kisses" to the package.
I save all my clear boxes just for this gift! I save everything!!

Trick or Treat Box

My daughter is 7 so she doesn't order much from PTI, yet, but she does save all her American Girl boxes that the little outfits come in, so she decided to recycle that. We are deep in the midst of Halloween in our house and that is all we think of so she has made a treat box for candy or a little gift.

She has so many different Halloween decorations that she didn't even need to get into my PTI supply. The chipboard letters are from Target $1 spot, she loves that section...lets face it so do I!  I did help her cover the box with orange paper to get the measurements right but she planned it all out herself, I thought she did a great job. I was most impressed when she showed me the box and the other embellishments she had added and then took off because "it was too much" and "not the same spooky feel" and she was so right!

Hope you enjoyed our "green" gifts and I am hoping to continue to add to my blog on a regular schedule! After all...I luv2bcrafty!!

Papertrey Blog Hop

I can not believe it has been months since I posted anything to my blog! I really don't know how everyone manages to update it daily with fantastic stuff. Please don't stop, I would be lost!

I am going to try to make this a brand new start, and a perfect way to start with the PTI July Blog Hop, the reason I created a blog in the first place!

So here it is...play around with text!

This is my daughter at 5 moths old on her first Halloween photo shoot! You can't tell but she is s Strawberry! These are my only pictures, not a single one in color!! Now I take millions of photos, go figure.

So this is so pathetic but I can not fix this photo so here it is before time runs out!! The strawberry bling is not fixed yet because I am still deciding and the material you see is a Halloween skirt I made for my daughter!

PTI...black card stock, Pine's Journaling Lines and Spooky SweetsII.
The text paper is from a long time ago in fall pack.

Sorry to be so "grade school" but I wanted to play!
Be kind!
